Drops that splash while washing off Najasah

439

Q 6: What is the ruling on the water that splashes when a person washes their private parts in the bathroom? The water might fall on the Najis (ritually impure) ground and then splash back on them.

A: The original ruling is that water is pure. However, if a person is certain that the water that splashed on them became defiled with urine or the like, they must wash it off their clothes and body, acting on the general texts that command Muslims to purify themselves from Najasah (ritual impurity). (Part No. 4; Page No. 203) May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
