The salary which an employee gets is not lawful for him unless he abides by the code of work, does the work entrusted to him properly and does not leave his work except for an excuse considered by the code of work. Subsequently, the money you took from the state and from the faculty in the manner you mentioned in your question is not lawful for you. You must pay it back, and if you are unable to do so, then you have to give it to charity or invest it in a charitable project. (Part No. 23; Page No. 422) Moreover, you must repent to Allah and be honest in your words and deeds.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
