Q 4: What is the ruling
on offering supererogatory fasting without the parents' consent?
A: It is obligatory to obey your parents whereas offering supererogatory fasting is Sunnah (supererogatory act of worship following the example of the Prophet). If they have ordered you to abandon supererogatory fasting, you are obliged to obey them.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions.
