Q 2: I sent some money to my maternal uncle in
Sudan,
but I did not tell him it was Zakah (obligatory charity), because if I did, he would not take it. I wanted this to be between me and Allah. Is my Zakah acceptable?
A:
If you give your Zakah to the people whom you know have a right to it, with the intention that it is your Zakah, then your Zakah will be correct. We hope Allah (Exalted be He) will accept it from you. You do not have to tell the recipient that it is Zakah.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
