Ruling on performing Wudu' using the water of a pool where rainwater collects

898

Q: Some people perform ablution from a pool of water that forms after rain falls. We noticed worms in the water after drinking, so these worms are a sign that the water remains stagnant for a long period in the pool. Is it permissible to use it in ablution?

A: All Praise is due to Allah Alone and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and Companions. To proceed: If no impurity affects the taste, smell, or color of the water, there is no harm in the worms generated therein. Since this cannot be prevented, it is overlooked so as not to create a hardship. Thus, ablution is permissible from this water.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
