The Hadith: 'Every Du‘a’ is held back until peace and blessings are invoked upon the Prophet'

367

Q 6: There is a Hadith in Sahih Al-Jami‘ which says: “Every Du‘a’ (supplication) is held back until peace and blessings are invoked upon the Prophet (peace be upon him).” Is the Du‘a’ meant here the one which is made during Salah (Prayer) or the usual supplications outside Salah?

A: This Hadith is not Sahih (authentic) as the author of Al-Jami‘ Al-Saghir emphasized its weakness.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
